We know a thing or two about celebrating, we’ve been doing it for years after all, and our location in the heart of Wagga’s CBD makes us the perfect venue choice.

Running an event can be overwhelming with so many items on your to-do list, from organising a space that’s big enough and has the right vibe, though to catering for everyone’s dietary requirements and making sure there’s a microphone for the speeches. Our staff are ready to help you through the whole process, making sure it runs smoothly and is memorable for all the right reasons, just ask those who’ve held events with us before.

We’ve got larger rooms for sit-down dinners, cocktail parties and any celebration you can think of, The Laneway and alfresco area for outdoor events, and The Hampden is always in high demand, particular The Cellar downstairs – an intimate space perfect for smaller celebrations.

Parties for birthdays, anniversaries and even weddings have been held at our place, alongside conferences, seminars and sit-down dinners. We’ve played host to countless wedding recovery brunches and Christmas parties, all kinds of cocktail events and even baby showers.

The Laneway

The Laneway is a large, outdoor area located off the Main Bar on the ground floor of Romano’s. The space is ideal for those looking for a more casual event or celebration, and has seen many Christmas parties, launch events, fundraisers and even weddings.


The Alfresco area is located on the ground floor, on the street-side of Romano’s overlooking Wagga’s Sturt and Fitzmaurice streets. Whether it’s a pub lunch for 20 people or cocktail event for 80, this fully undercover outdoor space is perfect for functions.

Chandelier Room

The Chandelier Room has been thoughtfully renovated to showcase the building’s beautiful Art Deco features and is an impressive ballroom ideal for your next cocktail or sit down function.

The room’s size allows us to adapt the setup and seating arrangements based on the style of your event. In addition, it can be used in conjunction with the Sapphire Room, a smaller space perfect for welcoming guests or after dinner drinks.

Ambassador Room

Located on Level 1 of Romano’s Hotel and often described as one of our nicest rooms, the Ambassador Room is bathed in natural sunlight and is the perfect venue for birthday parties, reunions, work parties or board meetings.

Refurbished to make the most of the Art Deco features throughout the hotel, the room and is now an inviting, fresh and stylish space be perfect for your next function.

Sapphire Room

Located on level 1 with its own full bar and a flexible open space, The Sapphire room is an ideal option for smaller functions including milestone parties, reunions, corporate cocktail events.

This room can either be used on its own or joined with The Chandelier Room to create an impressive space.
